So I just got back from Kumoricon 2011, and I have to say that it was perhaps the best year yet. There were cosplayers of Statler and Waldorf from The Muppet Show who stayed in character at all times, which involved a lot of cheap shots and "DOHOHOHO"-ing, a very large Gundam, and a surprising number of black Mokonas (and one white Mokona!). I went as Ramona Flowers from Scott Pilgrim (pictures coming soon, I was running late and couldn't snap any of myself before I left the house, and the con was way too hectic to do it there), Draco Malfoy from Harry Potter (which I posted a picture of today), and a punk lolita. I'm throwing around some ideas for my next cosplay, including: a D&D OC Tiefling Fighter with a giant warhammer named Rapehammer and some serious anger problems, Darth Talon (female Twi'lek Sith Lady) from Star Wars (I'd be using a bodysuit instead of body paint, so not as much skin as you'd think), Howl Pendragon (with a half-transformed arm with claws and feathers) from Howl's Moving Castle, and Yuuko Ichihara from xxxHOLiC. All of these would have other people to go with them (for example, my boyfriend wants to go as Darth Vader's Apprentice from Force Unleashed, so that's who Darth Talon would match). Comment! Comment!
